Correspondence from our CAM
In our September newsletter we advised residents that we had numerous complaints regarding black driveways/homes and beginning September 15th letters would be going out. So far we have sent more than 75 letters (more to come) and for the most part homeowners have quietly complied and we thank you. Some, however, have felt the need to take out their anger on myself and the office staff. I would like to remind everyone that we are merely the messenger. Our community is now 34 years old and has been a “Deed Restricted Community” from day one. Each and every homeowner knew of the restrictions and agreed to live by them prior to moving in, so I really am not sure why people are getting upset when asked to comply with what they agreed to in the first place. Now would be a good time for those of you that don’t have a copy of your current by-laws to stop by the office and get one. High Point is a beautiful community and these restrictions are what continue to maintain it.

Travel Club by Trey Jordan
Welcome to the fall of the year! I see that some of our winter residents are starting to filter back to our community. Most will be returning in October and November. The Travel club is looking forward to everyone’s return and a great fun filled season.
The travel club has had quite a bit going on and I want to share some of our great trips with you. We are going to Helen, Ga. October 20-23, 2008 for Oktoberfest. The price is $379.00 per person double occupancy. We are also going to Silver Springs for the Festival of Lights and a holiday buffet dinner for just $49.00. This trip is planned for December 17th. We are also going to the Kirk in Dunedin, Fl. for a performance by “Mike Martin” on the Mighty Wurlitzer”. This trip is scheduled for January 17, 2009 and the cost is $35.00 for members. We also have a wonderful New England trip planned for October of 2009; the price is $1,950.00 per person double occupancy. This includes your air fare and all entrance fees, also breakfast and dinner daily. Two of the dinners are Lobster Bakes.
Come on out and get with your friends and neighbors for a great time and a day out. The travel club meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at our community center 11:00 am.
