I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one our directors and employees for all their hard work and help throughout the year.  They have worked diligently to make our community a better place to live.  Together we have accomplished much this past year.  I would like to wish you all happy holidays & a safe and healthy New Year.
Travel Club by Trey Jordan
The High Point Travel Club will be in full swing by January and we are in the process of developing some day trips and multi-day trips for the club.  Some of the things we are doing are on Dec. 17th. - “The Festival of Lights and holiday buffet dinner at Silver Springs.  Jan. 7th we have a mystery trip planned for the

club.  This is a brand new trip that has not been done before so get in on it soon.  We have a trip planned to the Kirk of Dunedin for an Organ concert.  We are in the planning stages for a trip to Savannah, Ga. and Charleston, S.C.  These two Southern cities are two of the most beautiful and historic in the south.  Remember we do all the regular shows at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre.  Coming up on Jan. 18th  is  “The

Producers”.  This show was a Broadway smash hit and is sure

to sell out.  Get your tickets early! The travel club meets every month at our clubhouse on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the

month at 11:00 am.  We hope to see you there!

Rules of the Road:
Just a reminder of the rules of the High Point roads.  These are County roads, with a speed limit of 30 mph.  So please take your time going through the community and abide by the speed limit. If you are walking at night, please use a flashlight and wear reflective clothing.  We also have golf carts in H.P. so here are some of the rules for golf carts:
1.) Golf carts are only to be driven from sun up until sundown.
2.) They are to be driven on the streets of HP only. That means don’t go past the Information Booth.

3.) NO ONE UNDER 14 is allowed to drive a golf cart on a public highway per Florida Statutes.
4.) They need to be registered at the Golf Club or the Homeowners Office; with the number you are assigned displayed on the cart.
We say it over and over again, but this is a privilege and it can be taken away.  Please obey the rules.

Mobile Patrol by Ed Oleszek
Welcome back all you Northerners!  Hope you had a great summer, because we sure did.
Just a reminder to help all of us prevent crime from occurring in our community: remember to keep your home and vehicles locked at all times.  Don’t invite a potential crime to happen.  These are hard times everywhere, so let’s stay alert and aware of everything and everyone around us.

Christmas Parade:
On December 5th we will be having a golf cart Christmas

parade starting at 5 pm at the club house, proceeding down Harlow St. making a right onto High Point Blvd. then right onto Club House Rd., ending back at the Community Center.  After the parade the annual Christmas lighting ceremony will take place outside with our Concordia Chorus performing.  Then join us inside for a Christmas show with Clay Kirk and his elves.  This will be bigger and better than last year.   Refreshments will be served.

Toys for Tots:
There will be 2 boxes in the Community Center on December
18th from 2-4pm.  Please bring your unwrapped toy and make some child’s Christmas a little brighter.

The new coupon books will be mailed out in the middle of December, so please make sure the office has your correct address.

Pool:
Starting January 1, 2009 pool passes for renters will now cost $15.00.

what you will be bringing for potluck.  I also need to know how

There will not be a membership meeting in December.
The annual Christmas Lighting will take place Friday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. in front of the Community Center after the Golf

Cart Parade.  Santa Claus will be there, Christmas Carole sing-a-long with the Concordia Chorus, Bruce Lammond, President of Bible Class will say a few words about the meaning of Christmas.  You may also bring an ornament and put it on the 12 ft tree.
