Just a reminder that the next General Meeting will be held on March 12th @2:30 in the community center. We will have two speakers at this meeting. The first will be Hernando Judge Donald Scaglione, discussing community awareness regarding the functions and services of the court system. The second will be Mr. Blackwell explaining his plans on developing his 26 acres adjacent to High Point. Some of you may remember his prior proposal for this land several years ago. His new plans are more amenable to the High Point community. I would urge everyone who’s interested to attend. This will be your opportunity to ask questions concerning his proposal.
High Point ID name tags: You can now order a magnetic or pin-type ID tag to wear at our various functions. For anyone that is interested, the price for the pin-type is approximately $7 and the magnetic type is approximately $12. You can contact the office for more information or to place your order.

Mobile Patrol by Ed Oleszek
Well it’s that time again, when we are asking for your help so we can help you. We drive over 400 miles a week with over 270 volunteer man hours per week. We depend entirely on donations from High Point residents. We do not solicit funds by phone, in person or funds with fundraisers. The HPCPO does not pay us. It’s all done by Donations only. The officers, board member, drivers and observers are all volunteers.
We need your donations to keep us going.
So please help us out. Thank you for your support.

Garden Club by President, Lynn Trotter
Finally!!! Spring is around the Corner. Now you can cut or prune back those dead plants, and plant pretty flowers. Remember, if you buy flowers in containers, the gray container indicates shade, the brown container, indicates sun.
Our membership will be sprucing up at the front entrance into High Point on Monday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 3rd at 9:00 a.m. We could always use more helping hands.
Easter memorial drive is in full gear. Please donate in memory of a loved one for our annual Easter cross at the information booth which will be up before Good Friday. Bring your donation to the office, with your name and the name of your loved one. The office will put it in my mail slot. These donations will help purchase the plants and flowers to make the Easter cross.
I have made arrangements for a tour bus to pick us up in front of the community center for a trip to the Hard Rock Casino, on Thursday,
March 19th at 10:30 a.m. This will take the place of our regular meeting. We will be back at the community center 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15.00 per person; you will receive a $25.00 free play along with a $5.00 lunch ticket. If you are interested, please call me. You do not need to be a garden club member. The bus holds 25 people. It will be on a first come basis. You will also need to pay the $15.00 by March 10th to Lynn Trotter, no checks please. My cell # is 346-5636. There are now 17 reserved.
