Correspondence from our CAM
It’s that time of year when our snowbirds will be heading north. Please remember to make sure the office has your correct mailing address and a current emergency contact form. On this form it will ask you who may have a key to the home in your absence. We appreciate your taking the time to update the office each year and as such this form with all its information has proven to be extraordinarily helpful not only to the office but the Sheriff’s department as well. Last but not least, fill out the blue mobile patrol house watch form. They will keep an eye on your home while you are away for the summer. We will miss our friends from the north and are sorry you will be missing all the fun our regular birds will be having during the summer months. Have a safe and healthy summer and we’ll see you in the fall! P.S. Hurricane season is around the corner, please secure everything before you go.
Travel Club by Trey Jordan
Our season is winding down and our winter visitors are preparing for the trip back up North. We have only a few things planned at this point.
April 1st Mystery Trip
April 15th Ringling Museum
Ringling Home (Ca D’Zan)
April 30th Rays vs. Boston Game
May 13th Derby Lane (dog track)
May 21st Starlite Majesty
(Luncheon Cruise)
The travel club is going to Yellowstone Nat’l Park, The Grand Tetons and Mt. Rushmore in June. In October we are going to Maine & New Hampshire for the fall colors and a tour of the Maine coast. This trip is loaded with great things to do and some of the most beautiful scenery. The travel club meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday in our community center at 11 am. Make sure you come out to see what is going on and sign up early for these trips because they go fast. Hope to see you there.

A helpful hint for all residents!
Be aware of scams over the phone. The latest being a stimulus scam. Consumers are being over-loaded or swamped with e-mails and phone calls promising stimulus money grants or offering to help them qualify for stimulus funds. Consumers are asked to provide their bank account numbers and other personal information in order for the money to be deposited into their accounts, but instead, con artists drain people’s accounts or steal their identities. The Sheriff’s Dept. should be notified so they can check out potential fraudulent offers. Hernando Sheriff 754-6830 or www.hernandosheriff.org

Garden Club by President, Lynn Trotter
Our Bus Trip to the Hard Rock Casino on March 19th was fun, even though we all donated to the casino. On April 16th our annual picnic, we will be doing something different this year. It will be held in our own backyard at the horseshoe court. Hours are 10 am to 2 pm. Everyone is asked to bring a dish; we will be grilling hot dogs. Plates, napkins, silverware, coffee and soda will be furnished. There will be games, and win cash at bingo. This picnic will take the place of our general meeting for April. We will resume meetings again on October 19th at 10:30 am. The Easter Memorial will be on display, April 6th or April 7th in front of the information booth. I want to thank all that donated to the memory of their loved one. On April 13th & April 14th those that donated may pick up a plant or flower from the information booth. The person on duty will have a list of names for those that donated. Again thank you.

Farewell to all of the snowbirds. Have a good summer and hurry back.
A special note of thanks to everyone who was asked to move their item in compound A while the repairs are being made. With all the cooperation it has made our job a lot easier.
DID YOU KNOW?
Beginning last year, HOMEOWNERS, who had purchased and used up their guest pass for the pool could bring into the office the fully punched guest pass and receive a free pass once a year. Please understand the homeowner’s needs to ask for the freebee as during the course of the year a homeowner may have many guests.
