High Point Travel Club by Trey Jordan
Hello to all High Pointers
Well, our season has begun. The Travel Club has just returned from New England viewing the Fall colors and partaking in some of the wonderful cuisine of the area. We have some different and unique trips in the works for this season. On Nov. 4th we are going to Clearwater for a cruise on the Calypso Queen. We will travel from Clearwater to Tarpon Springs and will be served br
eakfast and lunch on board. The cost is $65.00 per person. We are also going to Sleuth Mystery Dinner show on Nov. 6th. The cost is $61.00 per person. Dec. 8th we are taking a train ride with lunch from Eustis, Fl to Mt. Dora. This trip is $66.00 per person. We have a number of cruises planned for the fall & winter seasons of 2010. We have a trip planned for Atlanta, Ga. in March 2010. This trip is for 5 days/4 nights including a tour of CNN, Stone Mountain, The Georgia Aquarium, The New World of Coke and some other exciting things to do. The trip includes 4 breakfasts/4 dinners and 1 lunch. To hear about these trips and other plans with the travel club come join us the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month in the Community Center at 11 am.

It’s election time in High Point.
The office staff and I have been very busy getting voting packets ready to be mailed on Tuesday to all 1750 members of this community. It’s a lot of work and we would sure like to break the record for votes cast this year, but we need your help! PLEASE VOTE! Last year we received back only 904! So please take the time to look over everything in your packet so that you can then vote wisely. Should you have any questions regarding the budget or the proposed by-law changes please don’t hesitate to call the office or a director. Also enclosed will be bios for the 5 residents who are running for the 3 available positions. Hopefully these bios will help you in your decision of who to vote for if you are not familiar with these candidates. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!!!!!
Share-A-Craft
As you may or may not know our Share-A-Craft group signed out Christmas stockings to be filled with goodies and brought back to be mailed to the soldiers overseas for Christmas. If you missed out and would still like to help, a donation towards the shipping cost would be greatly appreciated. Each box costs $10.00 to ship. Dee Whaley 596-1991
