The HPCPO Board meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month at 9 AM. There is an open forum at 8:45 if you would like to discuss something with the Board. If however, you have an issue to be considered by the Board, your name and request needs to be submitted to the office at least 72 hours prior to the meeting to allow time for it to be placed on the agenda.

Golf Club News by Katie Russell
It has been quiet here this summer. RAIN & HEAT have kept many of us from golfing as much as usual this summer. Our golf course is one of the best kept & most beautiful in the area, which also helps our community.
September 6th is Labor Day and we will be having a cookout at the Club House Café. We will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausages. Please come and have a cold drink in the lounge, enjoy your friends and let us do the cooking. See you there.
Karaoke with “The Shoe” every Thursday afternoon in the Golf Club House at 3 pm. If you like to sing or just enjoy listening to others sing, or enjoy visiting with friends, come just us for some fun. You just might like it.
HP Fire Dept.-Chief Grenier
It is very important to know that when the winds reach 45 mph emergency services are off the road and will not respond. Therefore, when you HP Fire Dept. rides thru the community advising of an evacuation it is imperative you head to a shelter. If you choose to stay and you have an emergency help may not be able to reach you. Please plan ahead, i.e. where your going, medications, money etc.
Garden Club by Ellie Martin
Control Yard Pest Responsibly.
Due to our warm climate, we are blessed with an abundance of insects. 99% of the insects are beneficial or harmless. Before spraying consider a few things. Is it a pest? Which pest is it? What
stage in its life cycle is this insect? What damage is it doing? How long will it be around? The pest’s age is an important factor in the best control method. Many insecticides are only effective on very young insects. Investigate before you start putting chemicals down.
Create a bird habitat that is appealing to many species of birds. Provide plants for cover nesting sites. Learn to tolerate some bugs, they are treats for birds!
Mobile Patrol by Ed Oleszek
Some of our Northern neighbors are starting to return, so I thought we would again remind our residents of our memo from a few months ago:
We have listed several ways the folks in our HP community can get rid of wanted and unwanted stuff!!!
1. Leave your car or truck unlocked day & night
2. Leave your keys in your car or truck.
3. Keep bikes, wheel barrels, ladders, garden tools, etc. unlocked in your yard or driveway.
4. Keep your house unlocked day & night.
Golf carts (with/keys in ignition) and clubs left outside or better yet put everything you do not want at the end of your driveway with a sign!!! (Please help yourself).
If it seems as if you heard this before, well you have WAKEUP people, if you don’t lock it up you will lose it.
Our 1st meeting after summer, will be September 27th at 7 pm in the Community Center .
